| I′ve been browsing my Make-Up collection lately, and I paid attention that I have a huge amount of lipsticks which I practically never used: Colors that did not suit me, textures that did not fit … It′s even terrible to think, how much money did I spend on them! Could you please list me some qualities of a good lipstick, and what should I consider when I purchase one? Rena, Tel Aviv. |
Trully, the quantity of cosmetics will never replace its qualities, therefore even serious discounts are not always a reason for purchase. Here are some facts you should know about qualitative lipstics:
- It should not spread and be too greasy
- It should not be too dry, pull the lips or cause feeling of weight
- It should cause soft and pleasant sensation on lips
- It should be smeared softly, easily and lay equably on lips
- It should have a pleasant smell
- It should not melt as an ice-cream, at influence of the sun
Concerning the choice of color and the texture, it depends on your style, from fashionable tendencies and from the form of your lips. For example, if you′re wishing visually increase your mouth, to give to it plumpness and sexuality, it is preferable to use more light tones of lipstick along with a lip glosser. Shine can be varnished, nacreous or with sparkles. If you prefer your lips not to be so prominent, choose matte lipsticks of more dark tones. |
