Before becoming one of the best visagistes of Israel, Felix Shtein was... the cook, and also one of the best in the country. Preparation of aspics and a soufflé seemed business significant and even creative until it became clear: "That′s all. Hardly anyone does it better than me in Israel. So what′s further?" The prospect to be engaged all life the same saucepans and frying pans, let even with shine, in any way did not arrange Felix. And, somehow having fallen asleep with this idea in Tel-Aviv′s bus, he has passed the stop and when has left on another, he has suddenly found out before himself a huge show-window with beautiful photos and a strange decor. On the tablet at the entrance appeared: "The Center of make-up". Felix with curiosity has come and... has remained.

- No, all the same it is strange. You, in fact, never were engaged in drawing...
- And even didn′t hold brushes in my hands, but somehow has suddenly felt: mine, and that′s all.

 
- How old were you when you so have abruptly decided to change a profession?
- Twenty seven.

 
- And now?
-Thirty two.

 
- That′s all for five years? School of make-up in Israel, training in Moscow at Sergey Zverev, at Yudashkin, further - Paris, Berlin, Toronto. And here now you go to Paris - to represent Israel in the championship of the Europe on decorative cosmetics. Not scary?
- No. It will be interesting very much and for certain madly beautifully. Models are from fifty countries of the world, hairdressers is fantastic. Besides a make-up of the face - the body-art, means a drawing on a body.

 
- You have already thought up any theme?
- A theme will set there. The theme of the last year was "Jewels".

 
- And who represented Israel in the last year?
- Nobody. Israelis were invited only as visitors. I will become the first who will participate directly in competition.

 
- I understand so, the Israeli show is shaded exclusively by your efforts. With whom you worked recently?
- With Volodya Presnyakov, Zhenya Osin, Borya Moiseev, Anna Reznikova, Alena Apina, Phillip Kirkorov. Also worked with participants of competitions "Ms. Israel", weeks of the Russian fashion, the first show of hairdresser′s art in Israel " Bravo, Maestro ", "The Morning star" ... Still to list?

 
- And Alla Pugacheva made up?
- Alla Pugacheva draws the face by herself.

 
- What are you talking?! And anybody can′t touch her?
- She doesn′t allow. And she doesn′t need it, she owns subtleties of a make-up not worse than experts.

 
- And here an eternal question: Whether it is necessary to use makeup every day or better that the skin breathed?
- You know, it is necessary to use makeup. It was the prejudice that the tone cream ages the skin, corks the pores. It is impossible to tell it was incorrect. But it was true for then. The technology today has completely changed, and makeup became not only way to hide defects and to level a complexion, but also protection for skin from a dust, a dirt, the sun...

 
- And what makeup is better for using?
- Liquid make-up is used for a day time make-up, for a dry, smooth skin, which is not considered problem, or for a withering skin. Pressed make-up (stick) is used for an evening and for protection against sweat. At cinema and on TV is certainly used makeup stick, but for an easy day time makeup it is a bit heavy.

 
- The tone of makeup should be lighter than the skin?
- No, tone of makeup should fit to color of the skin precisely. It is necessary to take three tones of makeups which as you consider, most correspond to color of your face, to find a place where there are no pigmentary spots, and to put on the skin. And that tone which will not be visible at all, - yours. Different tones of a makeup are used, when we wish to change a little the form of a face, a cut of eyes. When they are small, is better to use more light tone for a lower eyelid...

 
- And what new tendencies in a makeup? What will be fashionable in following year?
- Don′t be shocked, but if to talk about color, will be sated green and dark blue in fashion. And both in clothes, and in a make-up. Ringlets will return to a fashion, easy fabrics like chiffon. In a wedding make-up the fashion includes graceful applications on the face, lasting from the face to a shoulder. Fans of extravagance order for body-art.

 
- Is it really that our brides became so progressive that prefer a painted body to a wedding dress?
- It wasn′t reached to the general hobby yet, and from those 500 brides whom I "have married", a few were agreed to an "art" approach, but elements of body-art are popular. Let′s say, a thin pattern with use of srtasses or simply white application can perfectly add the wedding appearance, and sometimes hide any defect on the skin. Anyway, my girls like it very much, and I will take a risk to assume, that also as the manicure with application that became a hit of the last season in the Europe, so will be popular applications and figures on the face in present.

 
- Tell me, and the Israeli make-up strongly differs from European?
- Very much. Our make-up is much brighter, than in the Europe. With deeper blackout a century, with use black, which does eyes bigger, and grey, which creates sensation of depth. And in the Europe work with eyeliner and shading of a lower eyelid more.

 
- And color scale?
- In Europe now are more used brown tone, we - violet.

 
- And is this truth, that the mood of the woman depends not on the man, but from a make-up?
- True - from a make-up and from a condition of hair. Not without reason there is one American proverb: "The Mood of lady depends on mood of hair ". And the general character of behavior very often depends on a make-up, as, however, and on the contrary. The girl using bright, sated tone behaves absolutely differently, than a delicate beauty with the muffled make-up. Though, in general, I′m the supporter of changing image more often. Such effect of updating, such new stimulus... At least two times a year it is necessary to be ready to changes. Our ladies have already got used to experiment hairstyles in searches of the new image, following step, for certain, become searches in sphere of a make-up or body-art.

 
- And how were you switched to the body-art at all? In fact, as a rule, artists, instead of visagistes are engaged in this business.
- Nothing like that. Now the body-art is not a prerogative of artists, but quite demanded technology in the environment of stylists. Advertising, presentations, video clips, theatre. In addition, many models use the body-art for the portfolios. Here we are in tiger skin, and here - in drawn. Some girls order the body-art simply to be photographed and hold such beauty on in remembrance. In the show of Sergey Zverev the body-art is simply a separate history. In general, what Sergey does today, before anybody did not do in the world. 50 male models and 50 female models - a sound, light, laser installations. A fantastic show!

 
- And is there something similar in Israel?
- Not yet. But, I think, will be soon. The level of the Israeli visagistes and hairdressers grows very quickly. And the streets are changing. Today there are many well-groomed persons around, stylish hairstyles, and in general, a fashion occurs returning to feminity, to round forms. Has appeared new colouring. Let′s say, 5-6 years ago there were a lot of black clothes in shops, it was very difficult to find something color. And now, on the contrary, the eye is pleased: have appeared bright tones - red, dark blue, violet. And women, despite of all our complexities, a desire to be beautiful does not disappear. So in Israel by way of development of art of a make-up and style the future is fine. I don′t doubt of it at all.
